Donuts are not my thing, but give me a bag of bagels and they are gone

I seldom eat donuts, but I do like them though I probably like bagels more because they have nearly endless possibilities.

I grew up on NY style bagels and enjoy them often. However, the bagel experts agree that the best are Montreal bagels. When I was last in Montreal, I scarfed down a large number croissants for breakfast from the hotel breakfast bar. One thing the French do very well is croissants.

I haven’t ever had a Montreal bagel. I think if it were a choice between a bagel and a croissant, I’d chose a croissant, a warm, buttery croissant.
