It’s hard to know why Sting is held in such low esteem. I had seen The Police in 1980 and he literally flew around the stage. I saw the reunion tour in 2008 and was closest enough to the stage to hear his disinterest in a ridiculous expensive and short show.

I have a box set of all the Police albums which frankly I have never bothered to open.

I am a maybe Sting fan. It depends on the music. This one I hadn’t heard before.

It is difficult to get pass comments you weren’t meant to hear especially when they are harmful.

Every time I hear Sting, I always think, “What am I missing?” He is (or was) so damn popular, but that appeal has always escaped me. Best thing he ever did was the movie “Stormy Monday.” I really, really, really recommend it if you haven’t seen it. Can’t find a good trailer for it (best one is in German), and this one doesn’t really do the movie justice. But. here goes… “Stormy Monday” (1988), directed by Mike Figgis… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFagsJnnZwo

Sting is the either hate him or love him sort. I haven’t posted him much. This song fit the theme, but even more than that, I liked it. That surprised me.

      That movie looks intriguing. Thanks!
