8 Comments on “Come In From The Cold: Joni Mitchell”
A couple of days ago, “Joni Mitchell” posted on twitter that it was the 49th anniversary of the release of “Blue” which got me to thinking about how her music bookended the 70s. You could pick almost any release during that decade, proclaim it as her masterpiece and stand up to any challenge.
Beginning with Wild Things run fast and Dog eat Dog in the 80s, it all became very erratic and intermittent
But oh those 70s albums – I would make a stand for “Court and Spark’ and then “Hissing” and can certainly be corrected !!!
My Dear Hedley,
My favorite is Clouds. It was that album I had with me in Ghana. We played it just about every night. I never tired of hearing especially Chelsea Morning.
Mingus was the first album which disappointed me. There were a few after that. I just isn red them.

Joni Mitchell on the same day as Simon and Garfunkel. What holiday did I miss.
