Too bad the flag has once again become involved with protest. Kneeling during the national Anthem cost Colin Kaepernick his NFL career as right wing nut cases and Trump disparage legitimate protest.
When he was 18, his ship was sunk in the North Atlantic. He was one of the few survivors. He was in a hospital in England for a while. He didn’t wrote his parents so they had to call the Red Cross to find out where he was. He told great stories about being in the hospital. They were afraid he would lose both legs because of the cold water. He didn’t, but he couldn’t walk on them. He said he and a friend would get on a bike and glide down to the pub wit his legs sticking out. An ambulance had to come get him. He couldn’t pedal.

Trump cannot handle the protests. I’m sure they infuriate him. I remember how much he disparaged Colin Kaepernick .
The sailor in this picture is my Dad. He enlisted the day he turned 17.
