Super topical this one Kat, since our boy Dion has a new release this month “Blues with Friends”. It’s interesting enough that the WSJ did a 2/3 page on the album, it’s collaboratiions with Springsteen, Paul Simon Van Morrison et al.
He is 80 now hanging out in Florida and frankly I had forgotten he was supposed to be on the plane that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.
Anyways after heroin, he turned back to a sorta folkie and addresses his religion, friendship and racial injustice
Gonna listen to a track or two and see what it is

Dion sparked your missing Lenny. That’s a good thing.
I can’t imagine any former teenage singing heart throbs at 80, and I never expected Dion of having a newly released album. I hope it’s good. Another teen heart throb, Paul Anka, released adult albums. They were awful. Let me know how Dion did.

No one will probably see this since post is a day old, but here’s a link anyway. The Dion song with Paul Simon is simply terrific.

This has made me a Dion fan again. What a transformation. Had I not seen his name, I doubt I’d be able to guess who is singing.
I love these two together.
