Ah this was the only time I saw Joni in concert…The Mingus tour one cold wet night out at Pine Knob..perhaps known as Shadows and Light. Mingus as an album was a step too far for me but I do enjoy tracks in isolation
I didn’t like Mingus for the longest time. It just didn’t sound like Joni to me. Over time, I listened again. I found I liked most of the music, but, as you did, I take a bit at a time.
