Yes! The Kinks. Good group. Also like their “You Really Got me” (gotta luv the 60s).

The Beatles, The Hollies, TheZombies, The Mersybeats, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Ricky Nelson, The Dave Clark Five. Here’s one i found just roaming on Youtube:
Tony Rivers & the Castaways singing “Baby, what yoy want me to do”. Nice vocal harmonies. Rock ON!

I agree. There were so many good groups starting in the 50’s, and I always say the 60’s and early 70’s were the heyday of rock.
This is the first time I’d heard of Tony Rivers & the Castaways. I went looking for more music. God Only Knows is one I found. I thought the youTube was from The Beach Boys, not Tony and the boys. I figure it had been mislabeled. It hadn’t been. Come to find out, the song had been written by Brian Wilson.
