I remember those coin operated mechanical horses very well. They were located outside businesses where parents would bring their kids like grocery stores. I remember begging my mother to ride the horse when I was very young.

Outside Woolworth’s was one, and I always begged my mother for money to ride it. Most times she gave in and financed our ride westward!
