“Our heart is wide enough to embrace the world and hands are long enough to encompass the world.”

When I woke up, there it was, the ugly day, same as all the rest, cloudy and damp, but today I have a different frame of mine. I have decided to approach these days as a gift from Mother Nature. She is giving us ugly days so we can better abide being inside.

Last night I had the best dinner. I think I even hmmed with every bite. Last night I had hot dogs, two of them. They came from the deli at Ring’s. They were plump and snappy.

I do need dry cat food, but they still have a bit left. Maybe tomorrow I’ll leave the house and head for Rings. I do need some small storage bins so perhaps the hardware store as well. While I am out, I might as well add the dump then I’ll get myself a donut.

When I was a kid, I only read the comics. My father read the whole paper and passed it to me when he was done. I didn’t ever see my mother reading it. As for TV, we watched some programs in the late afternoon, before dinner, and a few after dinner. I remember all the westerns. I even remember their theme songs. The only radio stations I heard from my little radio played rock and roll. I never cared about the wide world except as part of my dreams, as destinations for when I’m grown.

I think it was in the sixth grade when I saw pictures of llamas and the Andes in my geography book. I wished I was there. That was the beginning of the change in me. I was never the same after that. I wanted to grab as much as I could of the world and all its parts. I still do.

I want my world to heal.

    Hi Kat,

Last night was the first Passover Seder. We had a smaller version this year because of the Covid-19 and my son decided he’s a vegetarian so we had chicken cooked separately from the potatoes and vegetables. I wondered why Trump hasn’t backed the Idea of painting lamb’s blood on your doorpost to scare off the Corona virus. It’s probably an idea from his son in law Jared Kurshner backed by the Veep. 🙂

Yesterday was clear but warm with a high of 96 degrees. Today is cloudy but cooler with a high of 75 degrees. Tomorrow is forecasted for rain.

Here’s a link to an interesting article about the dates of Passover and Easter and why they move around.

      Hi Bob,
My brother chose to become a vegetarian when he was around 23. He still is one. My mother always made him a special walnut loaf at the holidays.

That article was really interesting. Is your calendars off? Just throw in an extra day!

      It is raining.

Neil calls in Nils Lofgren and the rest of Crazy Horse and has something to say. The video is super cool

We just shut it all down until the end of the month

Enjoy Neil and turn it up

      My Dear Hedley,
The video was definitely super cool.

I have a sense that we will be shut down longer than until the end of the month. New York is slowing down but new cities seem to be getting the surge. This just doesn’t seem to e3nd.

      Thanks for the Neil!!

    Hi Kat,
Oh I want the world to heal. It was a lonely Passover because I wasn’t feeling well and the isolation from the Covid-19. I had done too much housework the day before, and on top of that another tooth fell out, and had to take a pain pill.
Cookie threw up all over her bed just as I was about to fall asleep.
In the morning (yesterday–try not to laugh) I reached for the tooth paste, and put muscle relaxer on my tooth brush. I hope I never do something like that again.
I’m not allowed to leave my apartment. I wish the sun would come out and it would be warm so I could sit in the garden.
    Take Care,
    Lori and the gang

      Lori,
No one is leaving their apartments or houses. You’re lucky to have a garden where you can sit in the sun. You must be the envy of every apartment dweller.

Cats drive me crazy. I’m forever cleaning throw up off the guest room floor. Dogs are seldom as messy.

I’m not laughing about the muscle relaxer. May I suggest keeping them in different places, maybe two different sides of the medicine chest.

      Christer,
I think we’re due for more rain tomorrow. That means we had only one sunny day in the last week. It will be in the 50’s.

I can’t walk and Henry won’t walk so we are a pair!

      Happy Easter!
