MDH,
It was the mood on her face which had me choose this photo. I am of a similar frame of mind as I clean the shelves and knickknacks.

I never understood why people, generally woman collect knickknacks. They take up room, require dusting, they get broken and in the end they will only wind up in a land fill when the owner passes on. What’s the purpose of a salt and pepper shaker shaped like cows sitting on a shelf? Are they in the on deck circle of salt and pepper shakers? Remember, what ever you have on the shelves you can’t take it with you. 🙂

Bob, try to ignore the Knick knacks and work on the hot factor

I have collections which can’t really be defined as knickknacks. I have old hats, snow gloves, Red Sox stuff and antique toys. The hats nobody will probably want but the Red Sox stuff and the toys are worth money.
I do have one fun salt and pepper set. It is Marie Antoinette. Her head, the pepper shaker, is only attached by a magnet to the rest of her, a bust for salt. Off with her head!!
