Ummm, no. No REO Speedwagon, thank you. I believe that I’m the only person in the world ever fired from a job as a radio dj for not playing REO Speedwagon. Oh, and I apparently played too much “nigger music” for the owner of WXUS-FM in Wast Lafayette, Indiana. May 1971 and I had just completed 4 years in the US Air Force and dj jobs in Monterey, CA and Macon, GA.
I am so so about REO (poetic even). I chose this song as it fit well with my time theme. I really can’t name any of their songs. Strangely, this is one I know.
I started loving the Motown sound when I was still in elementary school, around grade 7. The owner of WXUS-FM wouldn’t have been happy with me either.
