      Birgit,
      I got spanked a couple of times by my father but it stopped after that. I was sent to my room, never a punishment to me.

    Different topic:
    I follow some local conferences who release videos, mostly computer talks. An annual conference dealing with technology and society now takes place in Ghana too and videos just came in, probably more to come. I haven’t seen them yet and probably won’t do it but when I read “How Africa Can Overcome Linguistic Troubles from a Colonial Past” today I thought I should tell you. Maybe not your cup of tea but if you’re curious you can search for “re:publica Accra 2018” on YouTube.
    Maybe as introduction “Ghana to host re:publica Accra in December” ?

      I have started watching it and will try to finish it. Ghanaian’ English is often difficult for non-Ghanaians to understand. I had trouble understanding, “hearing” them. They had the same trouble with me.
