“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”

Merry Christmas,

We had fun last night constructing and decorating our gingerbread houses. My construction was not without its problems. My walls kept falling in. I’d start on the roof decorations then notice the missing wall. Finally I had to hold the walls for a while until the frosting dried. That worked. The most difficult part of the construction was not taking a bite out of the roof. The gingerbread smell was just so strong and sweet.

No papers were delivered this morning. I feel bereft. I didn’t wake up until 10 so my presents are still waiting for me under the tree. The smell of the fresh coffee is enticing me. I’m thinking a Christmas cookie is an acceptable breakfast on Christmas morning.

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for staying around and being a part of Coffee all these years. Without you, I’d just be blattering.

      Christer,
You have been with Coffee almost since the beginning. I so love to read all of your comments about folklore and witches and gnomes.

I know your Christmas is just about done, but I still wish for you the blessings of the day and of the season.

    Hi Kat,

To everyone at KTCC have a wonderful day and cherish your family wherever they may reside. Call them, text them or FaceTime them and tell them that you love them despite their warts. 🙂

Let’s find a Chinese restaurant open for dinner. 🙂

    Merry Christmas – Fröhliche Weihnachten!
Enjoy your gifts and cookies, Kat, and thanks for your blog, a long-lasting restful place for stories, music and your grateful Coffee clan in these times of change and increasing unrest.

Thank you, Birgit, for being such an amazing part of the Coffee family.

      Merry Christmas!

I did sneak a couple of orange cookies for breakfast with my coffee. They were a festive start to Christmas Day. I’ll be leaving soon for dinner and presents with my friends. The festivities continue.

Merry Christmas in return, Kat. Some time ago I came for the Coffee and stayed for the stories and music. Although your timestamp will be Christmas Day, mine says 6.22am Boxing Day as I am in Australia.

Thank you for your blog and the KTCC family.

Will go out in a couple of hours for a ‘breakfast’ with friends. There will be Christmas lunch ‘left-overs’. Forecast to be 90F here today…

      Hi Garry,
Thank you for dropping by and deciding to stay. You are most welcome.

I hope you had a wonderful day. I do love to go out for breakfast. My Christmas was perfect. I spent the afternoon at my friend’s house where we exchanged gifts and ate Christmas dinner. Now I’m home just relaxing.

It is currently 31˚.Tonight will get down to the mid-20’s. The last few days have been really cold, almost take your breath away cold. Enjoy tat heat of yours.

We just returned from our traditional Christmas meal at a local Chinese restaurant. The place was jammed with customers. Here’s an interesting article about Chinese restaurants and Christmas Day.

Hope everyone had a great holiday.

      Bob,
I knew about Chinese restaurants on Christmas but not the history of it. That was a great article. Thanks for posting it.

      It was a great day.

Merry Christmas to all today. We had chinese take out this evening.

      splendid,
I’ve had Chinese on New Year’s Eve but not Christmas Eve. There are only three of us for dinner and take turns every other year for Christmas so I never mind cooking.
