Wow, lot’s of leftovers in that house! Although Norman Rockwell depicted the father carving the bird at the table, my mother always carved our turkey in the kitchen. A better plan.

My father always carved the turkey, also in the kitchen. He’d bring the plate of turkey to the table and always told us there was plenty more.

I had an uncle who went to catering school. He could remove the skin, carve the meat and then put it back together so it looked like it was whole for presentation.
