I remember the Saturday kids movies. A half a dozen cartoons, a couple of shorts and a double feature all for just a quarter. I wonder how many younger siblings got started in life while the older kids were at the movies? 🙂

Bob,
I loved those matinees also. We’d get a quarter for admission and a nickel for candy or popcorn. My old movie theater is not used for plays. I love going there.
I don’t think parents in the 50’s made use of afternoon delights.

What 1950s, an afternoon delight is still pretty good fun!
