From the series “A place to call home”; caught my ear. Aussie/New Zealand production; post WWII. It was very hard to find a copy of the song. Definite European flavor
There are like 7 seasons of the show. Got a bunch of awards. I watch an episode occasionally – in Season 2 at present Sort of a fancy soap opera with interesting characters. But more than I can take on a routine schedule. Seems to be quite popular with women. I subscribe to Acorn TV via Amazon Prime
Spaceman,
You found an interesting site, a Russian music site.I hHaven’t ever heard this song before. I can see it being played in a lounge with dancing and table and chairs near the orchestra..
Spaceman,
I saw a list of the nominations and the awards won by the series. I’m not a big fan of soaps so I would probably not enjoy the program.
On two of my trips to Ghana, I happened to see a Nigerian soap, quite a popular soap. I actually watched it as it had such different customs and family dynamics.
The Latins are big into soap operas. More risque than ours Never gave Africa a thought. Soaps must be of international interest. I can’t watch the (American) ones though some people are really into to them. But hey, watch whatever you like.

Gnu,
It’s a fun song! I liked vampire Mickey! Wonderful video. Nothing like a trailer park Halloween!!

Spaceman,
I did some looking up about the series. I couldn’t find much about the soundtrack though I did find an episode called Place to Call home.

Spaceman,
When I was in high school, the only soap I watched was Dark Shadows. I just couldn’t pass up a vampire.
The Nigerian soap opera had the same soap characteristics as the ones here. I liked the set, actual Nigerian houses.

Dark Shadows? Om my goodness

There’s a Dali museum in the Tampa area. Wanted to go but ran out of time when I was in the area once. Strange stuff

Spaceman,
I like Dali because his stuff is so strange.
