Thank you so much Kat, some 64 years ago I was born in Epsom Surrey and here I am sitting in Oakland Township, Michigan. “It’s a long way from Epsom to here”
Somewhere around 1967, Paul McCartney changed the benchmark for age to 64. Of course the ensuing changes in health and lifestyle have moved the reality but the image remains the same. So, no, not only have I not rented a cottage in the Isle of Wight, I have not even been there
The morning brought that Beatles song and a flow of my children and their spouses, the Prince has a game but promised to call me with the result. I heard from friends for my childhood and in between
My Dear Hedley,
Already your birthday sounds wonderful, and the day isn’t over yet. It was a long way, and we’ll all glad you made it here!
I never got over turning 31 and remembering never trust anyone over 30. I didn’t give much thought as to what I’d do at 64. If it weren’t for The Beatles, 64 would just be a number.
Chorus contest today and we sang the soccer hymn You’ll Never Walk Alone for the first time in public. If it ever appears on YouTube you’ll get the link.
Have a great day!
