Our dog, the boxer I grew up with, used to drink from the fountain. He didn’t need any help except we had to hold the water on. He could reach.

Bob,
I think how you bring up the dog is the difference. My dogs are always gentle. They have amazing personalities and each has peculiarities as well. Duke was the most stubborn dog I knew.
