I was fortunate enough to attend a live Peter, Paul and Mary concert at the Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas. We had tickets for seats in the choir section right behind them. The Symphony orchestra played the first half with music of Dmitri Tiomkin, composer of movie theme music such as for “The Hight and The Mighty”. During the intermission lot’s of folks left the concert because they didn’t like the ‘radical music of Peter Paul and Mary’. Obviously, they were future Trump supporters. 🙂 People with no artistic taste.
Bob,
I have seen them in concert a few times. One was with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall. I also had great seats. I don’t think anyone left.
Another time I saw them just after they had gotten back together again. That one was at Tanglewood which is the summer home of the Boston Symphony. I was on the lawn on a blanket with a basket of picnic foods and wine. They were wonderful. They’d say many of their new fans were grandchildren of their original fans.
One of the cassettes I brought with me to Ghana was PP&M Ten Years Together.
