Spaceman,
Nirvana is an unknown to me.

Nirvana is often referenced as one of the few bands that ushered in a basic “change” in musical styles. In this case, grunge. Their leader, Kurt Cobain, committed suicide in their prime. Probably should have been on Lithium

Spaceman,
Now that I know this was Kurt Cobain’s band I recognize them. I a so so about this song. I liked the beginning.

This is one of their rougher songs – though it is the most well-known.
Appeals to teenage angst. Speaking of lithium, which is used to to treat manic depression. Cobain was brilliant – but creative to the point of living on the edge.

Spaceman,
A good friend of mine is a manic depressive. When she is high, she figures she doesn’t need medication then she sinks so low. She believed being manic made her a creative genius.

Yes – when people are on the manic side of the equation they think everything is great and drop off the meds. This inevitably results in crashing hard to the depression side. If meds help you live better – take them.

Spaceman,
At times my friend knew that.
