Another one of my favorite Sinatra tunes that’s not played very often. It came from a movie he made called “A Hole In The Hesd”. with Edward G. Robinson and Eleanor Parker.

Bob,
I remember the movie. Frank sang this while sitting on a concrete breakwater on the beach.

Just looked up the movie and discovered that “High Hopes” was JFK’s campaign song. Sinatra sang the modified version of the song while campaigning. He switched to the Republicans in 68 because the Kennedy family distanced themselves from him because of his alleged mafia connections.

Bob,
I didn’t remember the JFK part, but I did know the family distanced themselves. Sinatra was furious.
