You suffer through hot, hot summers. I would never want to have to stay inside in the AC. I am not even a summer beach person.

I am from the suspension of disbelief school. Without it, you can drive yourself crazy with unanswered questions.
There is a bag in the front attached to the carriage so perhaps it is a bread and milk run.
