    Disco not on the top of my list either and I disliked it immensely when it first came out. But subsequently decided I was being contrary for no particularly good reason; relaxed and found many songs were enjoyable. This song is not stock disco, but the florid string intro is typical of disco. And in the right time frame.

      Thanks for the explanation, Spaceman. I haven’t yet enjoyed disco. The music and the singers just don’t resonate with me.

    Hey everyone has their own preferences and that’s a good thing. Can’t say that I’m all that crazy about Gloria Gaynor, but it a very popular disco tune. Cake’s angry version is mo better.
