   In 1977, I had a whole Nils Lofgren thing going, and went to see him play at the Hammersmith Odeon. Much to my delight and surprise the support act was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who blew Nils off the stage
   I chugged along with Tom Petty for a very long time.
   When Nils is not playing with the E Street Band, I do check his solo shows with the idea of picking one up

     MDH,
     I would have been thrilled to find Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as an opening act. Their music plays often here not so Nils Lofgren.

   And strangely Emmylou sang this last night at the Grammys
