Padma Lakshmi quote

Air traffic control will point out other aircraft possibly on a collision course by using clock position. An aircraft in front of you is at 12 O’clock and one behind is at 6 O’clock. One slightly to your right front is 1 O’clock etc. There are young pilots today that have to be shown this using an analog clock because they are used to seeing only digital clocks. 🙂

Bob,
In all aircraft movies they always describe the aircraft’s position by the clock so I knew about at your 1 o’clock etc. Digital clocks have no position, just the time, so I can see why the young pilots need to be taught analog clocks.
