My father took a vacation in the late 1960s to the UK. It was summer so he and his friend took a side trip to the isle of Jersey. My dad took a picture of two gentleman lying next to each other on beach towels completely dressed in morning suites, ties, jackets, vests and their bowlers over their faces to keep the sun out of their eyes. This pic reminded me of the one my dad took of those two Englishman. 😉

This was also taken in England though I don’t know where. Maybe the water was chilly as most of the people I can see are clothed.

Probably is cool. Only the Brits would dress up to go to the beach, even in the winter.

I have posted pictures of people here also dressed. They were older people in each case.
