Ebenezer Scrooge quote

All the downtown stores used to have their windows decorated for the holidays. They became a big draw to the stores. I’m reminded of the scene in my favorite Holiday movie, “A Christmas Story” when little Ralphy is memorized looking in the store window at the Red Ryder BB gun, with the compass in the stock.

Bob,
That was a great window. I remember how all the kids loved seeing the toys and Ralph loved that rifle.

Of course both his mother and the department store Santa used the mantra my mother used, “You’ll shoot your eye out”. 🙂 Here in Texas giving kids real guns along with gun safety courses are popular.

Bob,
My nephew is red neck who collects guns. I have no idea where he came from. His brother is engaged to a woman who has a black father and a white mother. I wonder how he handles that.
