Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin quote

TV and the baby boomers were both products of the end of WWII and watching the Macy’s day parade on Thanksgiving morning became a staple. When I was a kid in the late 50s there where a couple of other Thanksgiving day parades sponsored by other big department stores such as JL Hudson parade in Detriot which were carried on TV.

Bob,
That parade was always the beginning of Thanksgiving for us. My mother was busy working on dinner, and we stayed out of her way when we watched. I don’t remember there being any other parade on for us.
