    He was really åpopular here in Sweden and I heard him quite often on the radio when I was a kid even if the songs and films were old and he dead by then 🙂

      Christer,
      There is just something about his voice I like. The first I ran into him was when I found his World War II songs. I loved the one about the laundry on the Maginot Line.

      I don’t think he ever got popular here.
