“Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
Last night I had to bring Gracie back to the emergency vet. She hadn’t eaten, was restless and kept wandering from room to room. The doctor did a blood test and gave her an anti-nausea drug. The blood test showed nothing wrong. The anti-nausea worked so well that when we got home, both of us slept until 8.
I was told to call in the morning to schedule an ultra-sound for Gracie. There is the possibilty of cancer and the ultra-sound would show a mass. Boxers are prone to cancer.
Gracie is at the vet’s now. They have to sedate her for the test. If it shows nothing, there will be a few more tests. The vet said what is going on could be due to her head tilt, which is caused by lesions on her brain. It is all iffy right now.
I am going to take today off from Coffee. My mind is on Gracie. I’ll keep you up-to-date.

im6,
I keep an eye on her and sleep lightly as I want to know if there are changes. I think the both of us are exhausted.

Kat,
I have read of a condition that is often overlooked by vets. It is like vertigo in humans. There is a medicine for it. The tilted head is a symptom. You might ask the vet. about this.

Thank you, Robert
I will ask the vet about it as I’m nervous about the possibility of lesions.
