Thank you for the incomparable Miss Ella. I had the great pleasure of meeting her in 1975 when she played a summer concert for the Dallas symphony orchestra. A friend of mine was the manager of the orchestra and he got me back stage to meet her. My friend went on to become Dave Brubeck’s manager. Unfortunately, I have lost track with him.

How lucky you were to meet Ella. She has long been a favorite of mine.
