Only 1 1/2 shopping days until Xmas here.
I’m late as always and will go grocery shopping tomorrow and see what I can still get to eat for Christmas because Germans tend to do disaster shopping before holidays. On Christmas shops are closed for 2 1/2 days and we think we might starve in the meantime or we’ll snow in for weeks or another world war might start during these 2 1/2 days. Don’t worry, I already bought the most important food to survive: coffee, chocolate and egg liqueur.

Birgit,
We have 3 days: today, Friday and Saturday though most stores close early on Saturday.
I did all my grocery shopping though I could use some vanilla egg nog. The store just had regular. There are sales the day after Christmas. I do have a few places where I’d hope for a good sale item.
I bought champagne for mimosas and egg nog for Kahlua and brandy and a bottle of red wine for my friend. I’m ready!!

minicapt,
I think I could do all that. Living alone means much less of a hubbub. I do Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with friends. We enjoy each other and Christmas.
