   I just love this song. And Oscar of course. I grew up with Sesame Street and always loved it, first we got American Sesame Street, later part of your street scenes were replaced by local actors and puppets here. I even watched it when I was an old kid as a nice tradition and was happy to see the original Sesame Street when I was in Canada because Buffy Sainte-Marie was part of the crew back then. Now it’s different and not “my” Sesame Street anymore but thanks to YouTube I still can revive memories.

     Birgit,
     I was in Ghana when Sesame Street started. I knew a doctor and his wife from Fez, and I had dinner with them a few times. He actually had the music from Sesame Street and played it for me. That was the first I’d heard of it. I was captivated by the music.

     At their house was the first time I had curry, now a favorite of mine. Sadly their time in Ghana was finished about 6 months after I had gotten to Bolgatanga.
