Gnu,
That is such a dramatic opening! I actually forgot about this song. I think I was too centered on just plain cats. I’ll have to broaden out next time.

I never understood why Tangerine Dream was so popular. Well, I don’t understand the Kraftwerk hype either. Just not my music, I miss the human touch in electronic music that early Krautrock still had. This song has at least vocals. Call me oldfashioned.

Birgit,
Neither did I. Actually I haven’t ever liked them but this song fit the theme. I never thought electronic music worked. I wanted what human voice brings to the song, to the music, the lyrics.

Birgit – Try Tangerine Dream on the soundtrack to the movie “Risky Business” – it actually works rather well

Hedley, Tom Cruise AND Tangerine Dream? No surprise that I haven’t seen Risky Business yet. I’ll try to remember and give it a try when I run across this movie on TV.
