“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

The sun is doing its best, but the air has a bit of a chill, usual weather for spring on Cape Cod. When I left the Cape yesterday afternoon, it was grey and cloudy. As I got closer to Boston, the sun was shining, the sky was bright blue and it was about 6 or 7 degrees warmer.

I am taking a short hiatus today. My body isn’t at all happy with all the driving yesterday, and I took a small spill last night. My foot got caught in the strap of a bag on the floor and I went down on my right knee. In trying to stop myself, I grabbed a storage box. I went forward more and fell while my arm stayed back. It is quite sore today.

On the cat front, I did manage to dose Maddie once last night. I didn’t see her the rest of the night, and she just showed up. She is supposed to have two. I need someone here she can dislike instead of me when it comes to medicine time

I’ll be back tomorrow. Don’t worry I am fine. It was one of my gentler falls, low on the pain scale!

Sorry to hear that you have fallen. As long as you can still get up and walk away you’re OK. Everyday that I get up on this side of the grass is a good day. 🙂

Partly cloudy today with a high of 81 degrees but no rain until tomorrow. May is usually our wettest month her in North Texas.

      Bob,
I really didn’t do any damage. The fall was quick, but I do remember thinking here I go again.

We had rain, and I don’t know when we’ll have some next. I missed the news and weather last night. It is about 51 0r52˚ now. I’m okay with that as long as there is no wind, and there isn’t!

      My Dear Hedley,
It took a while. I made dessert just now for game night tonight, and now my back hurts. I’m back on the couch with pillows behind me. I’ll be just fine!

      im6,
I swear there is only a bit of an ache. I am so very lucky. In only one fall about 25 years ago I did a bit of damage/

Ma chér Kat, you got to stop dem fall t’ings, you know … me, I got to stop dem back t’ings. Jes’ dis very mornin’ I did my own se’f an injury jes’ by slidin’ the wrong way when I sat myself down on a couch … it was one of the ‘I know – I jes’ screwed up!’ t’ings dat y’ can figure out right away when y’ feel the pain settlin’ in once you can’t unsettle it … I’m glad nothin’ broke when you fell, ‘cos dat’s not a good t’ing. Rest up and take your time with the postin’ – we’ll be here when y’ get back to it, y’ know. In the meantime, here’s how a Proper Crawfish Boil (we say ‘berl’) is done …

      Richard,
I know. I know. I just have to stop. Today was a lucky one. I just hit the rug with my knee and hurt my arm when it stayed behind as I went forward. I was attacked by a recycle bag’s handle.

I’m okay tonight, just a bit tired. Early to bed for me.

The link makes me hungry! Here we would have a lobster boil minus the mushrooms and green beans. Both the crawfish boil and the lobster boil are related!
