minicapt,
Stoneham is where I lived until I was sixteen. I used to pass that red octagon house quite often. I lived about 15 minutes away. he other two were further from my house. One of my friends lived in a house right beside the one with the porches. As I said the Dairy Dome was a gas station when I was a kid.

Gnu,
This house was about a 20 minute or so walk from where I lived. A friend of mine lived to the right below the hill. This wasn’t my favorite of the octagon houses as I didn’t like the add on porches.

minicapt,
I had PC friends whose house in Ghana was round. It was really neat. The center room was their living room and there was a corridor all the center around from which you entered the other rooms.

Gnu,
I loved the Animals, even saw then once in concert. This, to me, was their best by far.

Gnu,
This reminds me of going to coffee houses in the 60’s. They were in the city and always seemed to be down some outside stairs to the cellar rooms.

The town I was born in (at the hospital in the aptly named Crazy Hotel, no less) HAD a magnificent hexagon house/hotel. Sadly/stupidly, it was demolished in 1959. Amazed to discover this slide show on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWqj6yM87Vs

im6,
How shortsighted to tear down that beautiful, unique building. The pictures were amazing. The top looked like a tiara and the newels and bannister were gorgeous.
Some buildings here were torn down, but there is a very vocal group of people in this state who take it upon themselves to do everything they can to save the unique, historic buildings. Most they win, but sadly, some they lose.

Gnu,
I don’t have any memory of this song at all. I know of The B-52’s but that’s it-a recognition of their name.

Gnu,
I listened for a bit-no recognition, another song I didn’t know. Halfway through it stopped a couple of times. I don’t think I’m a fan.
