Great song!
(I admit I didn’t recognized the voice but I read the mp3 tag.)

Birgit,
I really like her and haven’t played her in forever as her music is on my old back-up drive from the dead computer. I went looking today and found Judy again.

I wonder if the bots can read mp3 tags? I tried to find the answer, but I don’t know enough to ask the right question in Google. I’m not sure how deeply “The Man” goes to look for offenders. Anyone know?

im6,
I’m assuming they look for tags, especially names. I took the name off the mp3 tag so there is no identifier.
I couldn’t find it either.

Yes, but deep down inside the music files are tags that contain a lot of information. I wonder if they scan the Box files for this content? “They” can do so much more than most of us even realize. Nothing is private anymore. As I asked earlier: Anyone know?

im6,
If I could, I’d build my own website and not need any hosting. They’d tell me I’d have to take it down, and I would without wondering if my whole blog would disappear.

OK, I started looking for “webcrawler music copyright dmca”, no real success yet, but this funny:
” […] in which the music company targeted, among other things, sites that utilized the word “coffee.””
Source: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2015/02/absurd-automated-notices-illustrate-abuse-dmca-takedown-process
Btw, it was a German company, sorry, I think I already mentioned that my home country is crazy.
I don’t think that a self hosted blog is better because you have to deal with the lawyers yourself but I don’t know enough about American laws or those wonderful things like Fair Use…
(More on self hosting another time, it’s late.)

Thanks for hunting, Birgit
I can’t understand how they missed Coffee! I’d be double dosed with take down orders.
I can’t lose my blog if I have music to take down. WordPress can make it disappear. If it is self-hosted, I won’t let it disappear. I’ll just take down the offending law breaking music.

One common bot “[…] computes a “fingerprint” for audiovisual content and matches it against a “reference fingerprint database” […]”
( Source: http://www.wired.com/2012/09/streaming-videos-robotic-overlords-algorithmic-copyright-cops/ )
Doesn’t really help, the music itself is scanned.
I’m tired, good night.

Birgit,
After reading this article I’d love it they could find Trump in violation whoever he speaks. It isn’t an impossibility given what they are taking down, like the Hugos.

Such a great song from a good songwriter and infrequently heard singer! Have you heard it done by Joan Toliver?
February 24, 2016 at 11:49 am
Mark,
I think I have, but I’m not sure. I’ll have to listen again to Joan.

Mark,
She isn’t on iTunes, but I did find this song on YouTube. You are right about how beautifully she sings this song.
