This Thursday, David drops “Blackstar” , a ten minute single that leads to the new album of the same name on his 69th birthday in January. Teasers abound on the net and it ain’t dull
Way back when “Hunky Dory” was carried from party to party at Dorking County Grammar School , Ziggy led us out the door in to the big bad world, and we were panicked in Detroit, looking for Pin Ups and our Heroes went Station to Station
I wonder how many other musicians carried and endured through our generation, hitting us as teens and exciting us as senior citizens. I would say Van Morrison but Duets really sucks – but I did buy it
I’m feeling very still.

My Dear Hedley,
You are my town crier when new music is released. I never thought about it but you are so right in David carrying us from teenagers to retirees.

How coincidental, I changed my screensaver to David Bowie, Starman 2012 Remake just last week. Can’t remember where I got the image

Spaceman,
This seems to be happening often. I post a singer and someone just bought the album or, like you. David becomes the screensaver.

Spaceman,
Sometimes I think he is quite handsome while other times he look odd, even eerie.
