The brazen audacity of Chicago’s Curtiss Candy Co. to say this was named for President Grover Cleveland’s baby daughter Ruth! No royalties for The Bambino, who was the king of baseball in 1921 when the candy was introduced! Shame!!

I thought it was for Babe Ruth for the longest time and was shocked to find a nobody (considering Cleveland’s only claim to fame is he was elected to two non-consecutive terms as President) is its namesake. I’m with you! Shame!!
