Song or player missing? Doesn’t matter, Box link works.

Classical music by Edvard Grieg, here it’s better known as The Coughing Symphony:

So glad to see the player get loaded so people don’t have to jump through hoops to hear what was once my favorite band in the world. And this is from my favorite musical “period” of theirs. Interesting that you chose today to play PDP as they’re in the midst of a huge set of shows this weekend in Chicago (they don’t play a lot of shows these days, despite what’s — to me — a fairly disappointing new album). From the Facebook reports I’ve been reading, fans have flown in from all over the country to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of their “Pomegranate” album. But let’s stay back in the early 90s when the band was young and thin and enjoy this bit of nostalgia (for me at least).

      im6,
I almost played this song today. I was torn between the one posted and this. I have no idea how I finally decided.

In my haste to get back to bed for a nap, I forgot to post the music. I had loaded it on the WordPress site but didn’t insert it. I’m glad Birgit told me as I hadn’t noticed.

There is no question about why you like them-they are, on this album especially, that good!

      im6,
looking for a working link (official version is blocked) I found a Continental Club Austin 2014 live version. Looks like fun, are you among the dancing crowd?

Haven’t seen them in years and never in Austin. They moved from Hawaii to Austin to Chicago and along the way they began to do more “house” music and I lost interest. They still do some of that music at their concerts, but it’s not the same. Wish I could recommend a video you can see. Maybe you can see this one from 2014. There are only 7 people on stage. Their live shows can have up to 25 in the band and backing singers and dancers.

        im6,
Their music is so varied. This is different than I’ve heard. I like this sound as well.

Thanks, im6, nice music and I also checked a few more videos, even a few CD songs are available. I think I prefer concert videos, definitely more energy. Accordion fun music before House music.
