Wooly Bully: Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs

This is Billboard’s top hit of 1965. I blush. Of all the great songs from that year, I have no idea how this ended up on the top of the list.

I did a 3 CD set of music for my reunion and this song wouldn’t have qualified since it was released after graduation. 4 hours of music I made and the emcee of our banquet (in charge of the sound system) forgot to play them. He was too busy talking and talking and talking and talking. Once he was done, they started dismantling the tables and removing the decorations and people started leaving. I’m so glad I spent about 40 hours curating all that music, tv themes, radio station jingles…

      im6,
Had you shot the emcee, it would have been justifiable homicide. I know those CD’s are spectacular as I know how you work.

I, on the there hand, was haphazard today as I need a nap. My back is bad so I’m about to go upstairs and enjoy my afternoon nap.

There may still be time to get him. No one will guess it was you!

I can’t believe your back is still/again giving you problems. Wish I had some good doctorly advice, but I was not one of the success stories at my reunion. Doctors, professors, scientists, entrepreneurs… Not ol’ im6. Not that anyone was surprised. I was one of 4 liberals among the attendees. I’ve lived down to their expectations!

        im6,
We didn’t discuss politics at all. I’m glad of that.

I took Aleve but it didn’t seem to work though it did last night. I’ll take more later.

We didn’t have to discuss politics. You could FEEL it in the room. If Aleve doesn’t work, I’m sure there’s something in a bottle somewhere…
