Tomorrow is Van Morrison’s 70th birthday.
Today we celebrate the 60th birthday of our local hero Helge Schneider. Musician, comedian and actor, famous for songs like Cat Litter Box, We’re Gonna Have Rice Baby, Sausage Candy, Qualified Meat Seller (female), I Am The House of New Orleans and many more.
No chance internationally (except as great Jazz musician) but who cares. We love him and keep him.

Tomorrow, Van will be up on Cyprus Avenue. Wish I was there, oh well
cuppa Tea comes from the very wonderful Muswell Hillbillies. My grandfather was from Muswell Hill hence the Tottenham Hotspur thing that threads through the history of my family.
Might pop up to Toronto for Van in September, we shall see….

Unbelievable! 70!! Yikes, time is passing so very quickly.
I got a chuckle out of the music. Every once in a while somebody appears who just charms the audience with his strangeness or his weird look or his singing. I love the titles of his songs.
I have my AC on as it got humid this afternoon. It is now down to 81˚ but I’m leaving on the air.
