Douglas Adams quote

So many things that kids today might not recognize. Analog clocks, typewriters, teletype machines, rotary dial telephone and neck ties.

Bob.
I agree with all but the tie. There are times when kids wear ties, usually a more formal occasion, a holiday or a big event.
That picture is definitely a primitive view of an office.

Actually a news room with real journalists, like Edward R. Murrow. You are right about ties. They’re a useless appendage and should be abolished.

Bob,
I knew it was a newsroom. The Associated Press on the telex machine gave it away, but I see a desk and typewriters so I think it also serves as an office.
