Flag day? Did I miss a soccer game?
No, seriously, a flag day is unthinkable over here and you won’t see many national flags unless our soccer team plays. Private persons with a national flag in public at other times are most likely Nazis. (Still too many of them around.)
    Happy USA Flag Day!

    • Birgit,
If you missed it, so did I.

Flag day here means people hang flags in their yards, drape
them on fences or have small ones in their gardens.

I have a flag always in my yard hanging off the side of the house. In the 60’s I would have laughed if you said I would proudly fly the flag.
