Interesting new voice, I switched over to YouTube and found her old band Bering Strait. Too bad that most of their videos are not available over here because this Russian-Country-mix seems to be fun:

      Birgit,
Just from looking her up I knew she was with Bering Strait but knew nothing about them little expecting they would be Russian despite the name of the band being a hint. According to Wikipedia, “Their style was sometimes called “redgrass” (a reference to bluegrass). The band achieved prominence in 2003, being nominated for a Grammy Award and featured in a segment on the prestigious American news program 60 Minutes, but never caught on with major sales. The group disbanded in 2006.”

From her web site, “Bering Strait consisted of a group of classically trained child prodigy musicians, all born in Obninsk, Russia, and the children of scientists who came to the United States to pursue their musical dreams. The band was put together by their music teacher who had a love for bluegrass music and introduced them to the genre. As time passed, the band evolved into a country band with bluegrass roots. Natasha was the lead singer and acoustic guitarist.”
