Some of the controls on the typewriter differ from those on the keyboard of a Blackberry.

minicapt,
I never took typing so I wouldn’t know the difference. When I was in high school, I was in the college track. Typing was for the business track and going across the tracks was never allowed.

Spaceman,
I’m glad to know all those cups I consume are good for so many parts of my body and help ward off kinds of cancer. I may even up my consumption!
Thanks! Now I can refute the people who tell me I drink too much coffee.

If I knew how many girls took typing when I was in high school I would have signed up for all four years. I finally learned to type on my first computer a 1996 Mac Plus. I bought a copy of a program called Typing Tudor II. Typing turned out to be a very useful skill in both my career and in writing. Had I taken it in high school I probably would have failed anyway because I wouldn’t have been able to concentrate with all those good looking girls in the class. ๐

Bob,
Luckily typing became a required course for all freshmen though it was renamed keyboarding.
You are right, though, that mostly girls took it when we were in high school.
