Anatole France quote

For doggie lovers everywhere especially Gracie’s Mummy.

My Dear Hedley,
Gracie would be running in a circle and maybe drooling just a bit in anticipation or maybe even she’d produce one of those famous Boxer bubbles. She is talented and once had two together.
We all should be as happy as our pups.

I am your instructor, Bill; I shall teach you “The Dog Paddle”!
Cheers

Morpfy,
I have one other Walter Brennan songs, a term I use loosely as he never sings. He’s a talker!

Gnu,
I remember The Rifleman and Paw. I liked seeing the older pictures of him. I wonder what he’s doing now. Looks like I need to do some hunting later.

I got his autograph back in 1962 at a record signing. Probably the first star I ever saw up close and personal.
From Wikipedia:
Since 1992, Crawford has led a California-based vintage dance orchestra which performs at special events. His band has been sponsored by the Playboy Jazz Festival; and the orchestra has been the repeated choice for 15 consecutive annual Art Directors Guild Awards shows at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills. A remastered version of the orchestra’s highly rated[citation needed] first album, “Sweepin’ the Clouds Away,” was released on August 21, 2012, on the CD Baby (distributor) label.

Thanks, im6,
I’d remember the first star if I’d ever seen one. I don’t think Big Brother counts.
He sounds quite successful-he’s come a long a long way from being a Mousketeer. I’m glad he’s still active. Child stars seem to have sad ends.

Hey Pa… Johnny’s hung up his cowboy hat, thrown away his lasso and moved into town. Here he leads and sings vocals with the Johnny Crawford Dance Orchestra.

im6,
This was excellent. The sound reminded me of the orchestra in The Shining. It has the same orchestral and vocal sounds. I’d but and play this album as I liked it that much. Good find!
Thanks!
P.S. I think his was paw-a strange pronunciation of pa.

Gnu,
I used to watch this. It was only on for a couple of years but lived in rerun land forever. Even now it is on some TV channel. I know he died of an overdose.
I didn’t remember Johnny Cash sang this.

Gnu,
I didn’t know Festus could sing. He has a good voice. That’s a pretty elaborate set.

Gnu,
This is one of my favorite theme songs. It is perfect for Frankie Laine’s voice.
Clint is so darn young.

Gnu,
Western were sure the rage when we were kids. Even Saturday mornings were filled with them. I loved Annie Oakley!

Reading the reports about the controversy over Joni Mitchell’s condition this morning, I ran across this cover version of “Urge For Going” by Graham Nash and David Crosby. The info on the YouTube page says it was intended to be a single, but was never released. Here’s hoping Joni has the urge for STAYING.

im6,
I fear the worst about Joni. Her web site has to be upbeat so I don’t trust what it says, too rosy, too optimistic.
This is a great song. My favorite version is by Tom Rush. I hadn’t heard this one before.

Gnu,
I remember this was on Friday. JayJay didn’t stay round too long. They had A-List and B-List volunteers. The voice was off but that didn’t matter!
