Will you meet me in the middle, will you meet me in the air ?

And every friggin album from America started with the letter H

Strangely enough I actually saw America. Down the Oval in September 1971 they were billed in front of a huge festival crowd waiting for the arrival of The Faces and then The Who. I remember exactly nothing about their performance other than that they were there. It was a long drag of an afternoon through such luminaries as Mott the Hoople, Lindisfarne, Atomic Rooster and a really stupid chanting band called Qunitessence. It was all garbage really until Rod came strutting out in a leopard skin outfit and then we waited forever for Pete and Rog and john and Keith

I do like this song and I am sure that I have the album somewhere. But like their performance all those years ago, I just don’t remember

    • My Dear Hedley,
I never noticed the H of every album.

Strangely enough I also saw America but at the Melody Tent in Hyannis, and this was part of their performance.

I like one Lindisfarne song, but I don’t remember the other groups you mentioned.

I think I have this on cassette.

Sister Golden Hair came from the humungous album Hearts with the three guys on the front of the record cover with a totally fab picture of the Golden Gate in the background.

The Fog on the Tyne is all mine all mine, the fog on the Tyne is all mine.

      • MDH,
They look so clean cut, and that is a good cover.
