My Dear Hedley,
Ah, such a wonderful compliment and such pure alliteration.
This song does stays with you. It is weird but I like it.

If you haven’t seen it, do try to watch “stop making sense”, Jonathan Demme’s excellent document of a Heads tour. We caught it at Pine Knob and we’re going bonkers

MDH,
No, I haven’t caught it, and you know I am always happy for recommendations!

Yes, “Stop Making Sense” is one of the best concert films ever made. I haven’t watched it in years, so I’m wondering if it might seem a little dated (the suit!), but maybe it’s a time capsule. I know I loved, loved, loved it when it was first released. I also recommend Scorsese’s “The Last Waltz” if you’ve never seen it. There’s another concert film I love, but I don’t dare recommend it here because it would send Hedley into a conniption fit. Care to guess?

im6,
I love The Last Waltz. There are enough singers and groups in there to keep Hedley happy I think.
Clothes do get dated and sadly so does some music. I find, though, that much of the 60’s and 70’s, music doesn’t.

All stellar acts and incredible performance by The Band ! Having seen them perform on a few occasions in the 70s still my all time favorite …TLW is still played over an over in our house

Aimee,
I think it deserves to be played over and over. Incredible is the perfect description!
