Well since today’s post is on the dark side, this will fit. Background theme for “Turn”, which is a series on AMC about a patriot revolutionary war spy. Pentangle does a pretty good version

Spaceman,
Simply beautiful!

“Turn” is a good series. On Netflix – 10 episodes

Spaceman,
I don’t have Netflix.

Might be on Amazon. Staged on Long Island. Interesting character interactions between Brits/Loyalists/Patriots. Netflix is a pretty good deal if you like movies at all. Can watch on TV or on computer. I maybe watch a movie a week, but even that pays for itself. Like 11$ a month. Been doing Chinese period movies lately. Detective D

Spaceman,
I do love movies and watch them on myopia late at night in bed. The movies are from the regular, cable premium channels.
Now you have me more interested in Netflix as I have toying with subscribing for a while.

The basic package is 1 DVD in your physical possession at a time. You get a convenient return mailer. You generate a queue list and they will send you the next DVD on your list. You can change your Q list anytime. The real new movies are typically those available via mailers. But there are tons of free semi-recent releases and older movies available via direct streaming to your computer. You can use WiFi to send the movie to your TV. On older TVs, you would need a Roku box (or similar) to transmit to TV. With newer TVs (smart TVs), Netflix will be an App on the TV or can be added simply. Ask some of your friends who have it and see if they think it is worth it based on yr viewing interests

Spaceman,
I don’t know anyone with Netflix. That’s probably uncommon.
I have an older TV. I bought it a long while back when HD sets were rare. It is still excellent but not smart.
Thanks for explaining this as I had no idea how it worked. I did know makers but that was about it.

Wow, that is a great deal, but I use my iPad for books. I bought my first one a long while back and have upgraded a few times. My sister offered me her Kindle as she doesn’t like it (she’s a paper book person), but I didn’t take it.

Ya, I have Ipad and Kindle, both are handy. But I’m on an mfg (reference the Blues Brothers) to be the last person in America not to have a cellphone.
Here’s a (long) interview you might enjoy – I’m about half-way thru

Spaceman,
I have a cellphone, but I keep it with me mostly for emergencies. It isn’t on all the time. I use it in the car sometimes just to chat and make the trip less boring. I am always surprised when I check it and find texts, old texts.
I started the interview and will give it more of a go this afternoon. That movie always makes me laugh!
